Any idea why I get these stripes and how I can get ridd of them ?

PS: KS v5.2.10

There is no bumpmaps or anything else set btw ..

Have you tried increasing the samples to see whether it goes away?

Can you send us the whole scene?

guest84672

Oh - and you changed the samples of the material, correct?

PhilippeV8

I can try :)

And I did change material samples from 2 to 500, with no difference.

I believe this is due to a patterning created by the metal flake. Decreasing flake size and flake visibility should eliminate the stripping.

Yeah but then I lose the effect of the flakes which I want to show .. (even if it's smaller in reality) .. it needs to show different than the none-flaked paint from other finishes ................. is there any other way to get shiny flakes in my material ?

Perhaps you could try scaling down the model, or selecting different units. That might make the flakes generate differently.

A different way to get flakes is to load label with white speckles on a transparent background over the regular paint material and then increasing the label's refractive index to make it appear more mentally. However I don't think this way you could really get the clear coat finish..

NIELS!  Thnx man!

That is awesome.  Looks like it's working!
