Fine detail Ring Material

Tried creating a material suitable for fine detailed metal/jewellery work. What do you guys think ?

Material Breakdown:

Metal

Curvature

Occlusion

Cellular

Fractal Noise

Scratches

Seriously, nice render, although a lot of the features you used seem to be lost visually, unless my old, tired eyes are failing me

@ Bill - Graph node editor screen thingy attached :)

@ Metal Master - Nahhh your tired old eyes are fine, just the scaling used. The scratches bump could do with a little more tweaking but i was after a noise/roughness thing rather than a beaten up look.

Will do another render with more scratch showing just to see what it plays like  ::)

Very interesting point.  Most of us "over-scale" textures, and I'm the worst culprit. Subtle textures are better, I think, depending of course  on the target render size.  Always curious, I just took my great-grandfathers 18k gold signet ring out of the safe, and actually, despite over 100 years, the scratches are subtle.  Ditto a pewter plate we have.  Less is more, IMO!
