Fading floor into background of studio
« on: February 20, 2016, 10:45:38 am »
For the life of me I cannot figure out how to fade the concrete floor into the background. It is probably a pretty simple thing to do. If someone can explain this to me I would very much appreciate it. Thank you.

Please see attachment as example.

Use the radial gradient map found in textures on the opacity slot of your material - Use planar mapping, turn of repeat and sync then scale it to suit

Wow! What a simple but effective technique. I wish I'd know about this a while ago.

You can see the technique used in Tim Feher's excellent rendering vehicles webinar that can be found here https://www.keyshot.com/learning/webinars/

You can also find it on KeyShot's YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSJQ7mR0UNjAArOGHlharPQ

Both links have lots of other tutorials for you to choose from :)
