Hello all, I am trying to add the dark shaded areas to my rendering without using photoshop. (Right) I was sorta able to do this by placing a dark wall in the rendering. It blocked my rendering mostly. On the left is what I was able to do with Keyshot. On the right is what is desired. Thanks for any suggestions. Keyshot 4 but I can get access to the latest release if needed. Thanks again

Hi jeffco.

For shiny objects like this you have to adjust your lighting as what you are seeing is basically a reflection of your environment.

It looks that the HDRI that you are using at the moment is quite light and has low contrast. To create the darker areas on your model you need to have darker areas in your HDRI. Try using a HDRI that contains black parts and higher contrast. Preferably create your own through the HDRI-editor if you have access to it.

Hope it helps.

Thanks Esben, I will try this. If I cannot achieve this maybe I can pay you to set one up for me. Jeff
