Hi all! I have a bottle of wine with a label. The label has a diffuse + bump; gold + bump; lacquer + bump; separately bump (embossing). Can I make this complex material in keyshot? If YES: tutorial please. Thanks. Pardon for my english.

The short answer is yes. See this, done in KeyShot quite some time ago:

As for tutorials, you can check out the KeyShot Youtube channel which will offer a handful of techniques to help you get there: https://www.youtube.com/user/KeyShot3D

I recommend creating your logo/label in Photoshop (or similar program). Keep each item that will have a different texture on the same size canvas and make it white on a transparent background. Give it a subtle blur to soften the edges. In KeyShot, you'll want to apply each component as a label and change its material type. You can duplicate the diffuse label by holding alt and dragging it onto the bump node so you have both a bump and diffuse label that you can then change the material type. This will allow you to texture the various parts of your label without relying on geometry in a model.

Hope that helps.

Also, keep an eye out for an upcoming Quick Tip tutorial that will help you go about this in the right way.

There is a great bottle and label set here somewhere, i am sure it was recently added - i will edit this post if someone doesn't beat me to the link, but it's widely considered the finest bottle render achieved to date with KeyShot

Depending on your design you might also be able use the 'color key mask' in the material graph to mask out and apply different materials to different parts of your label.

Check out this webinar recording where it is shown how to:
The color key masking starts at 43m28s
