Jimmy's Render Practice

I need to start making use of some spare time during lunch hours and time off for quick, fast but decent renders.
Here is one from today.

Model: dimensiva.com - Eames Vitra Armchair
Model Time: ~30mins
Render Time:~5mins

Here is another render this time with a vehicle.
Model: 1932 Ford Model A from cgtraders I think... Not quite sure I've had the model a while.
Render Time: ~2hrs ...this is quite high but the final image was large and the texture on the ground had a lot of detail going on.

Yeah this will be the next stage for this. Just need to find the right backdrop.

Stage 2 of the Ford Model A.
By far much better with some context and some slight PS on the backdrop. But apart from that pure keyshot.

Haha yeah it is a bit. I'll try for a dirty version next time. And some filters to the scene.

That's some fast modeling! What's your 3D Program?

Oh wait the model is from dimensiva.com so I didn't have to model the chair. But I had to spend some extra time in keyshot on remodelling the groups and splitting them out so the materials didn't get mixed up. That's the 30 minutes.

But I could model this in Solidworks if I wanted to.

Ok so I've made some amendments to my first post on the 'Vitra Chair'.
This time round I've spent a bit more time on the materials by adding some different textures & lighting. I found the first to be a little flat in terms of material structure. The zoomed image shows this in more detail.

There are some great practise scanned models from this site to try out new materials so I would give it a go. I'm pretty sure Esben has mentioned this site also.
