Rhino plugin does not preserve rhino materials correctly

I'm using Keyshot 4 with Rhino 5, and when I bring any rhino model into Keyshot, the colors all shift. For instance, if my rhino material color is R152 G203 B72, Keyshot transforms this into R143 G212 B0. The colors are always shifted so that they are incorrect (and always lighter.) Why is this and can it be fixed?

This is most likely due to Gamma correction. We have addressed this to make sure it is consistent. You can always try KeyShot 6 first.

Hi, I've installed v6 and updated the rhino plugin, and I still see the same problem.

Additionally, I notice that the diffuse color that comes in changes depending on whether you add any gloss or reflectivity to your material before sending to keyshot.

Here is a Keyshot 6 file that I made from the attached Rhino 5 file (via the Rhino plugin.) The green material has different RGB values in each program. Is this a useful example?

The same issue occurs with the importer. However, if you set the gamma to 1 in the image tab, or uncheck "Compensate image gamma" under "Color Management" in Preferences the value is correct.

Granted, that should not be the case. Let me check into this with the dev team.

Basically what you said: It looks like if I import file, change gamma to 1 (before editing any materials) and then edit a material, and then change gamma back to 2, the colors are ok. Not a great work-around, but better than nothing. Hope it can get fixed, but thanks - this is helpful.
