KeyShot 4 crashes with SolidWorks running in the background

Hi forum,

I have the problem that my KeyShot 3.3 crashed every time I open the software and have Solidworks running in the background.
It's fairly annoying.

Anyone that can help me check what the reason can be?
Is another performance of my workstation necessary or similar?

Have you tried pausing KeyShot when switching to SolidWorks? Version 3 is nearly 4 years old... I'd urge you to try the latest version, KeyShot 6. It doesn't crash when running other programs.

I beg to differ on that point. We have 6.2 installed at work and it has crashed on me twice now. Both times were when I  was live linking a file from SolidWorks. I was surprised by it because Keyshot seems to be so stable.
But then I've had SolidWorks crash on me regularly, some days I can get by without a crash but some days it can be as many as 6-7. And at the most inopportune times, like just when I am saving a file. Then to find out that the save didn't happen.
