Yes it's all 3D, only the background is a HDRI. The leafs are actually 1 single leaf mesh scattered with different textures.
The fur and pins of the hedgehog are made entirely with fibermesh (Zbrush). Way easier for these kind of stuffs than making human hairs, believe me
I may work a little more on the terrain, it's a bit flat now
