When unlocking an object, it erases Undo stack, replaces with incorrect "Lock"

I deleted some objects, found an object that was locked and therefore didn't get deleted. I unlocked the object, then decidedI wanted to undo the delete of the other objects. However, undo didn't work. It only undid the Unlock command (re-locked the object), then nothing beyond that.

If I go into the Edit menu, Undo is listed as "Undo - Lock" (even though I didn't Lock anything), and clicking that or Ctrl-Z results in nothing happening, and the Undo menu still says "Undo - Lock". Re-do works correctly (re-unlocks the object).

This has happened several times over several different scenes.
