I turned on Stereoscopic viewing and 6.3 told me to restart KeyShot. Since then it has not been able to open back up...just keeps crashing. I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014, 16GB RAM) and have updated to the latest version, full reinstall.

Is there a prefs file of some sort I need to manually delete?

Thanks!

Hi Adam,

In your Mac HD > Library > Application Support > KeyShot6 folder there is a keyshot6.xml file.

Open this using Textedit, scroll down to the <misc> area, and look for:
        <stereo_mode_enable>true</stereo_mode_enable>
        <stereo_rendering>true</stereo_rendering>

Change both of the "true" settings to "false", and restart KeyShot. This should disable Stereoscopic mode.

Thanks Richard -- that did the trick! Next question...why can't I enable the Stereoscopic mode without it crashing?

Your graphics card needs to support quad buffering, and I know that this support has been changed over time by Apple on the Mac.

My own MacBook Pro, 15-inch, early 2013 no longer supports stereoscopic output due to software changes on a system level.

My suggestion is to reach out to support@luxion.com who may be able to offer more information.
