Making frosted glass (great again)

We recently got an inquiry to the studio that caused us to think about how we would approach frosted glass.  So, we grabbed some designer glass vases from Dimensiva and started messing around.  This is where we ended up–for now.  I think we could do better; curious to see if anyone has some suggestions or experiences they are willing to share.

What material are you using? My suggestion would be to drop the saturation/vibrancy as now they look very opaque. Though I can tell they look like a frosted glass, it's only after looking closely. Also, having an object behind the glass to show the difference between the frosted and non-frosted area would really sell the idea!

Great start.
I think, as Will suggests, having something inside the vase while adjusting the materials (and on the final visualization if possible) will make it easier to make the material better looking and convey that it is frosted glass
