To begin with somewhere this is a settings problem and all my fault.
To make it simple, in some scenes where object is lite with hdri,  I add a primitive, let's say sphere.
I assign Area Lighting, or point lighting, or any type lighting to the sphere.
The object turns black and does not emit any type of light no matter what I do.
It is as if the object (light) is not present.
In let us say 10 scenes this is happening in 4 out of 10.
Thank you for any suggestions.

If this is the case, please attach a .ksp when it happens next so we can check it out. That, or e-mail it to support@luxion.com

Screen print of problem.
Although assigned the material of Area Light, object is black and contributes no
light whatsoever

saved scene as ksp but will not upload as attachment

Can you send it to me - thomas@luxion.com - via wetransfer? Use keyshot.wetransfer.com

Thanks.

This may be silly, but can't this be a scale issue ? Maybe in some scenes the scale is so big that you have to crank up the intensity of the light to show up.

Will try scale settings, not impossible solution!!!
What is wet transfer????

NM 92   NOT SILLY!!!!
Thank you  very much!!!!

Cranked the wattage of area light to 500000.watt.
Wild number, but, not a charge on my electric bill.
Thanks again, thought I was going nuts.

I'm glad it worked ! You can set the units of your scene and change them in the Edit menu to avoid those awful numbers on your settings. Beware that if you do this after applying your textures, they can get messed up, so i recommend doing it as soon as you start a new scene.
