I would like to see a colour picker tool like the eye dropper in Photoshop. This would let users match colours in background photographs when setting material colours (subject to lighting of course). Thomas, you know those glazed canopy images I sent you? This is an ongoing issue with them as we need to match the colour of the canopy frame to the building colours in many cases. It is very much trial and error right now. An eye dropper I could edit a material, select the eye dropper and click on a part of the building I want to colour match to. then it is just a question of applying the right environment lighting.

Noted - I agree. Of course that is built in on the Mac ...

True :)

But missing from Windows :(

+1, would love an eyedropper tool when changing colours to help match existing colours in patterns/materials etc. At the moment say if I have matched a pattern to a surface, to match a colour in that pattern elsewhere on the model as a block colour I would have to bring the pattern into Photoshop, find out the RGB/hue/sat/val values and enter them manually into Keyshot. In an ideal world I could just eye drop the colour on the model and match it immediately.

Would improve my work flow immensely.

Cheers

We will update the color picker for version 3.
