Well, I've been married 48 years, and I love my wife!  But I have a new love in my life-

Cloudy Plastic!

It's docile, well behaved, obedient, listens to commands and sweet!

The first image used "regular" rendering, with Product lighting.  The second is "Jewelry", set at maximum time of 30 minutes.  What's so cool is that this setting (derived from Interior?) is that it shows the samples in the lower status bar, which provides great clues for future work using maximum samples.

Cloudy Plastic rocks!  It's uncanny how close the second image is to the actual silicone material.

This is EXACTLY the kind of materials and appearances that Cloudy Plastic is intended for.
Looks great, Bill!

I bet this will be a lifesaver for your many medical projects. For all those tubes, canisters, syringes, hoses... and whatnot. :)

I see those pesky horizontal lines in the second image though, kind a look like scan lines. I got those on a couple of my renders too, can't remember how I got rid of them...

I baked it maximum time for 30 minutes, on 32 cores. 1500 wide.  I noticed that as it cooked, the lines got better.  Maybe more time, or use samples?
