Good evening!

So this will be my first post to the Keyshot forum, or any forum in fact. I'm an Industrial Designer/Digital Artist and a long time 3ds Max and Vray user. I wanted to really get stuck in to Keyshot and so decided to utilise what I've learnt from Vray to create something completely conceptual for my first Keyshot project. Feel free to let me know what you think. Although I won't be making changes to this piece, I'll definitely take it forward in to my next.

Cheers,

Shaun

Looks rad, Shaun!
Love the colored lighting and subtle glow.

Looking forward to see more from you, and also hear about your experience with KeyShot compared to Vray :)

Shaun Wellens

Hi Esben,

Thanks for your kind words, I really appreciate it! It was actually you and the work you post on Instagram that sparked my interest in learning more about Keyshot, so your feedback means a lot to me.

I look forward to creating something new and speaking with you again!

Got to throw a +1 to this, as I have nothing more to add on what's been said. Looks awesome.

Shaun Wellens

Thanks Magnus, really appreciate it! I'm a big fan of your work!

jet1990

awesome render. Just out of curiosity how much work was done in post on this?

Shaun Wellens

Cheers mate!

Well I try and get as much out of the render engine as I can as to avoid too much Photoshop work, but my focus for this was seeing how far I could push shader creation inside of Keyshot. Next time I'd like to improve my lighting setup using the HDRI editor as I feel I had to do too much post work to compensate for this. The glows and dusty filter were created inside Photoshop.

Considering uploading a GIF but I'm not sure if you can preview GIFs on the Keyshot forum.

Josh3D

Yes, GIFs will show up on the forum.

Arian Shamil

Very very nice project! Love the final result

Cheers mate! I appreciate it!
