Hello,

I am facing issues while importing Creo 3.0 assemblies in Keyshot .
These assemblies are designed with Top Down approach ( Skeleton modeling ).
Some of the sub-assemblies/parts go missing when I import the assembly model.

Does anyone else face the similar issues?
Are there any guidelines/best practices while importing such Creo models in KS ?

Thank you !

Best Regards,

Hello Vinay.

The direct import of creo assemblies with specific infos like program, light representations, family tables can't be read from KeyShot.
So there are two different ways:
1. Use the plugin (can be downloaded from keyshot.com). The plugin transfer the most infos (like material names as well, what comes very handy for material templates)
The current version of the plugin can't transport the light reps from subassemblies.

2. Export the current state of the creo assembly as a PVZ file that can be read from KeyShot.

Both ways are pre-tesselated but enables NURBS as well.

The other way is to export the creo asm as Step. But keep the right config options in mind so that the colour infos are transferred.

Hope that helps.

Cheers
