Has anyone updated to High Sierra and notice any incompatibilities or crashing?

Hi

Don't even know where to begin.

NR not transferring jobs.
Extreme long render times (if render starts at all)
Random freezes
Un responsive klicks in UI, just a "Beep" when you klick something.
Grainy results even with maximun samples very high
Lots and lots of Warnings and Timeouts when trying to send job to NR
Error when opening files that you used a Connexion 3D mouse on even if you have un installed the mouse from the system correctly

So I would not upgrade if I were you.

Im stuck here and I only hope that there is a new version in the works as we speak.

Dont' tell me you didn't make a clone before upgrading?

mikalind

Indeed I didn't.
Lesson learned.

Who would have thought that a release so close to High Sierra wasnt tested.

But as I said. here's a story that won't repeat.

Yeah, I learned my lesson the hard way too, long time ago. But that doesn't mean that I didn't repeat it later :)

Well, hopefully you can get things sorted, is there a possibility of doing a clean install of yosemite on a different drive? I actually ran a dual boot mac tower for years because of certain apps and plugins that were locked to certain OS releases. Don't even get me started on the old AVID days on a mac....

mikalind

I have an update for you.

I ran the update installer for 7.1.36 on the Mac and The installer again on top of NR on a Windows server.
Seems to work fine now regarding the render issues.

I've been running Mac OS X Sierra since early beta using daily builds and have not noticed any issues running KeyShot. As far as NR goes, those issues are not tied to the OS.
