Hi. I am importing a box from Rhino (Mac).

I have the flattened texture in Illustrator and Photoshop. All the measurement is precise. My rhino file and my texture map are equal size in mm.

When I imported to Keyshot and applied the box projection the map does not seems to follow the  " wrapping " of the box.

The texture has two rectangles that should be on the wider part of the box and two squares for the sides.
Is it possible to get the map textured continiously and not repeated or tilted on the sides  ?

I do not think I can UV map on rhino for mac. So not much options that model it in Modo instead. I would really like to avoid that process.

Thanks a lot

Box mapping doesn't work the way you think it does. Box mapping will take your texture and project it onto each face of the box in the same way. Your options are:

1. Assign UVs in Rhino, then use UV mapping in KeyShot. This is possible.
2. Apply a different color to each face of the box in Rhino, then import into KeyShot. Then, apply your texture to each face using planar projection and manually position it so each square is where you want it.
3. Same as option 2, but create a new texture for each face and center on part if you're using KeyShot 7. This will be faster to texture map in KeyShot, but takes setting up each face in Illustrator on its own art board.

Good luck!

Thanks Will. I actually did one of your options after realiazing that KS will not wrap it as a box.
