Not special modeling here, but very accurate (and disgusting bump and texture maps) 

Indeed, you can use you imagination and be creative... for exemple the mouth texture could be a photograph of a steack... you know what I mean ?... :-)

Here is the Cobra without textures and bumps...

you can find textures on internet to make all what you want with basic models...

After that, it's just a question of lighting and... a lot of research in advanced materials...
