Diamonds are really nice !

Just a tip about silver : try to use an HDRI with black parts inside to have black reflections in metalic parts... The "precious" silver effect will be enhanced...

Guys I am trying to switch up the background colors to make it look something more like this:

But I am having difficulty. I can only seem to be able to swap out the background for flat colors. I know there has got to be a better way to change the environment colors. How would you guys achieve the look in the given example? ???

You could create one in PS (or whatever program you prefer) and then bring it in as a backplate.  ;)

I am having issues creating a nice back plate that is similar to the example in my last post. I have tried modeling different types of geometry and then importing it into keyshot and applying materials and lighting the geometry with emissive planes, but I have not gotten nice results. I have tried making back plates using just photoshop and I am not happy with my efforts there either. Anyone have any suggestion as to how I could recreate this environment either through geometry or through a back plate?

I have tried similar back plates but I am still not getting nice results. I thank you for your time and effort making me a back plate. (my scene was rendered at 800x800 pixels so I rescaled your BG to fit my scene). I don't know if there is a way to introduce color to my HDRI (which I don't think there is a way), or If I need to have the background modeled because the back plate is not rendered in the actual metal it looks really cheesy to me. Any ideas as to how I could achieve results like in the example provided earlier with Keyshot2?

I also discovered the studio responsible for the provided example. Here is a link to their website if anyone else was curious:

(I recognize the star glow filter with after effects and I am not sure which renderer they used but I doubt it was Keyshot)

I think in order to get the results that I am really after, I need HDR Light Studio (so I can change the colors of the HDRI). But for now I am somewhat satisfied with this as a temporary solution: I have imported a piece of geometry for the ground and I have also imported a circular plane and applied an emissive material for it to light up the ground. Here was what I got.

Anyone know of a good way to get ride or that weird gradation that is going on in the background (I am referring to the strange artifacting, not the color)? You get the same strange artifacting when you create a photo shop psd, fill the canvas with a solid color and then apply a filter, lighting+rendering, spot light.

I made a quick psd to help illustrate what I am referring to when I say "Artifacting". I am referring to the gradual gradation and sometimes it is pretty sever and adds some unwanted colors to the render.

Anyone know of a good way to remove this/hide it?
