Trying to use XPS 9560 with Keyshot 8. It has 4k 15" screen but I keep Hi-DPI switch off (I suppose, it makes Keyshot work on scaled mode instead of native image resolution 1:1?).
I used Keyshot with much slower CPU for a while and not I'm not sure if I'm getting ok results or even if I'm doing benchmark properly.
It gets to 130 samples with 65 - 70 FPS and then drops to 9.9 FPS.

  • Intel i7-7700HQ 4c8t 2.8/3.8 GHz (without/with Turbo Boost), undervolted to -0.1 v
  • Windows 10 64
  • 65 - 70 FPS

If that is a laptop, that might be the heat management kicking in and slowing the FPS way down. Can you take a look at the Ghz speed that the processor is running at and see if that is dropping as well when you notice the FPS drop? That would indicate some sort of thermal throttling going on. Other than that, keyshot won't slow things down at all unless the OS forces it.
