I have a google maps top view of a clearing in the forest. I want to show the terrain and how it changes heights in some areas. Currently Im just using the google map screen shot as the base, but this isn't convincing. Would you do something like this using photoshop or blender? Or...?  I've attaching the aerial's of the clearing on the left side (not the town on the right). If anyone has experience with this, please let me know. Thank you.

I would actually do this in SketchUp. You can specify your location and import the terrain data into the SketchUp file. Then you could save that geometry out and import it into KeyShot and apply your image as a texture to the terrain geometry.

Sound like Eric has a solution for you, but if you were wanting to do this in blender, here's a tutorial for you;

Full disclosure, I've never personally tried this. Let us know how it goes!
