I would love to be able to bake a single map easily.

Ideally, select the object or objects, select the map in the material graph, right click and choose Bake Map.
This would ask you how large you would like the map, and maybe ask you if you want it to automatically replace the map.
After it renders, it would replace your selection (not delete, just replace the wire connection) with a texture map node.

This is especially useful for things like occlusion maps. Granted, your objects now need UVs. So you might want to add in an automatic unwrap option.
But occlusion maps are great, but they are a bit noisy, and kind of expensive in terms of render time. So that's one use case.
Or perhaps you've created a map network that is just LONG. After you're done, you might want to simplify it with a texture map to keep things simple.

I just thought this feature would add to keyshot without complicating things, so wanted to request it.

I'd like to see this, too; even if it only works on UV mapped models.
