I have a 2017 MacBook Pro. Will it run KeyShot?

I'm considering purchasing KeyShot for my home laptop for small portfolio projects that can afford slower render time. I know comparatively nothing about computers, so I'm hoping someone can kindly give me a quick answer as to whether it would be worthwhile on the hardware I have. I'm not expecting nearly the same performance as with my MSI work computer, and I'm willing to tolerate slowly render time if it will still get me comparable results. Thanks in advance for the help.

I can't speak to version 9 but I have run Keyshot 7 on my 2012 MacBook Pro with a 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7 and 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM without any problems. It's not terribly fast, but it works. I get 55 - 60 fps on the standard camera test.

Why guess? Download the trial and see how it runs on your laptop firsthand. After you've used it for a bit, you can decide if it's worthwhile or not.

It will work fine, but as it has been pointed out the best way to find out is to download the trial.

As an example I am using a 2011 MacBook Pro for testing which still works to some degree.
