Bad keyshot display/render of Fillet/curved objects/Rhino
« on: January 29, 2020, 07:00:00 am »
Hello All,

Need a quick help on this, I have been using keyshot for a while now and since upgrading to keyshot 9 I started getting bad imported rounded/curved objects  :(  it seems to be a bug!
Apparently when importing curved geometries ..from rhino 6 to keyshot whether using the actual rhino keyshot plugin or directly importing the model from keyshot menu, the rounded objects come in broken and keyshot is not able to read curved edges, I attached two screen grabs of the rhino model vs keyshot model and the actual rhino model.

Just to stress out that I have tried the following:
-to bring in the parts in a new rhino model and re-import,
2-clearing all meshes,
3-clearing all bad objects
4-purging undesired layers,
5-grouping the parts and un-grouping with no luck
meaning its not a rhino modeling issue but rather a keyshot problem

***Also the surfaces and meshes are not triangulated or Ngons based and those surfaces were made directly in rhino and not imported from other 3D software's

please advise
