XR of exploded view
« on: February 22, 2020, 04:59:33 pm »
The basic model is exploded with part animations, a few translations. At the beginning all parts assembled, at the end everything exploded.

I want to use the final state of the exploded view for my XR.

In the XR, I want the camera to go from -45° to 45° with 10-20 images. How does that work?

I get a preview in the viewport that looks like what I want however the only thing I manage to render in an XR without the part animation.

You can either recreate the movements using the move tool - I would do it in another model set.
Or you can use an export workaround:
- place the animation cursor at the last frame
- export the scene as obj
- create a new model set (uncheck all parts to get an empty model set)
- import the obj using the options (add to scene, in active (only visible) model set, retain material)
- so you'll get the exploded state without the animation but keep all materials
- render the XR

(I've tested it in KS8)

Hope that helps

Cheers

Thanks for the solutions.

I believe this is a flaw on behalf of Keyshot, since I can see what I want in a preview but I'm unable to render it. It should be possible to define whatever animations you want, and freeze this state for XR.

Recreate the explosions with the move tool... I thought about that but really then I can also just export my parts in the exploded state. My project has 15 scene sets.
