I customized my system render # and now I need to selected on every single new Keyshot document.
Does anyone know if i can set it (my ISO_RE) as default?

Hi,

There is currently no way to set the default Name Template in the KeyShot UI. However, you can save a custom startup scene with a different Name Template, so that all new scenes use that instead of 'System Render #'.

Here's what I would do:

  • Copy startup.bip from 'C:\Program Files\KeyShot9\bin' to 'C:\Users\YourName\Documents\KeyShot 9\Scenes' or any other location you have writing permissions for. You can give the copied file any name you want.
  • Open the copied startup.bip file in KeyShot.
  • Open the Render dialog and select the custom Name Template.
  • Save the scene.
  • In Preferences, load the adjusted scene as the Default Startup Scene (Edit > Preferences > General > Default Startup Scene).
That should do it.

Let me know if this works for you.

hi DriesV,

that was my work around for my default and standard camera and environment setup. But you are right, that I could add the name template as well.

Thanks for the hint
