The smoke trails were created entirely within KeyShot.
- Cylinder geometry
- Scattering medium
- Displacement node + fractal noise
- Motion blur

Feature request: I used the sun+sky both for the lighting environment and background. The gradient in the blue sky background looked terrible due to banding, so I ended up doing a quick render without the foreground objects (blue sky only), imported that image into GIMP, applied a spread noise filter, and then re-imported as a backplate. Because the lighting environments often include color gradients which are prone to banding, maybe include an option to add noise right in the environment, either overall or to the individual pins. Not a big deal, but it would just save a few steps and help prevent banding.

I also often have banding issues! Thats a good way to work around that, oh! and great looking X-Wings mate!!

I'd love to go to this air show :) Very, very cool.

Bro! can you share the smoke trails? I could really try this for my renders. Great work.

Great image - love the smoke trails too (I often use that noise trick to prevent banding, good way to use it in KS!!)
