Realtime view freezing when using move tool
« on: July 15, 2020, 10:50:24 am »
I'm running into a problem where any time I try to use the move tool to adjust geometry position the realtime view freezes and stops refreshing. I can still see the position coordinates change in the scene panel when I grab the move handles, but the image stays frozen. The only thing that seems to break it out of this state is resizing the scene panel. I didn't have this issue at all yesterday, and I have "Use GPU" and "selection outlines" turned off.
Anyone have this same issue or know how to fix this?
Screen recording attached to show what is happening.

Solved this with the help of Keyshot support.
It turns out that Keyshot was using my integrated graphics card which is not powerful enough, rather than the Nvidia GPU.
Solution is:
1. Open the Nvidia control panel.
2. Go to Manage 3D settings.
3. Go to the Program Settings.
4. Select KeyShot from the Drop-down.
5. If it is not available add the KeyShot.exe manually by browsing to it below.
C:\Program Files\KeyShot #\bin\keyshot.exe
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\ in the KeyShot #\bin\keyshot.exe
6. Select your Nvidia graphics card under preferred graphics processor.
7. Click Apply and restart KeyShot.
