I rarely use render passes in Keyshot - we are in the business of churning out designs not renders and the standard output is good enough 99% of the time (maybe with some tweaking in Photoshop). But I'm doing a job where we need a cutaway of the object and I thought I'd use the cutaway in Keyshot then do some quick Photoshop edits to adjust colours - hence the clown pass was idea for selecting colour zones.

I've attached the render with the cutaway then the clown pass from the same render. Note that the clown pass includes the entire cutaway block - which kind of makes it useless for the purpose! Is this intentional or a bug? If intentional then it makes no sense, so someone please educate me why it is effective like this. In reality it's no big deal for this one as we just cut the actual part in SolidWorks and applied a face colour to the cutaway but on a more complex scene this would be annoying.
