Compare Xeon vs Core i7?

Hi. Sorry, no benchmark but a question on the CPU use in Keyshot. Is there something special in a Xeon processor that makes it better at Keyshot rendering than for example a Core i7?
I'm use network rendering at work and it seems that the 4 cores I have assigned on our Xeon E5-2667 V4 server (virtual server) can complete tasks much faster than the 8 (4 + 4 hyperthread) cores I have assigned from my core i7 7820HQ laptop. Does Keyshot use specific instructions sets only available on the Xeon?
