Black Screen on startup

Every time I open up Keyshot 3, I get a black screen which only switches to the render screen after i do something like view/heads-up display.  Is this normal? Does anyone else get this?

You may need to update your graphics driver. And also make sure that you are running the latest version of KeyShot.
