Advanced Materials Settings

I'm working on a project where I'm exploring various translucent plastic materials.  Every time I double click on a material to make translucency adjustments, I have to also re-click the "Advanced Settings" again to access Diffuse and Specular Transmission settings.  Anyway to keep those settings permanently open?, or remember its last state like the Quality/Advanced button under the Project Settings tab?
