issues with shadows through a mesh

I am rendering a heater that has a mesh on the front.  There appears to be irregularities of the shadow below when it is rendered this way.  I have attached images with and without the mesh.  Also, I attached a screen grab of the render settings.  Any suggestions that might improve this issue? Thanks!

I will be facing the same situation for one of my future renders....
I hope we hear from keyshot on this...

By accident, I figured it out.  I turned off the Sharp Shadow option, and it looks great.  See the attached image.
