I already asked this to KeyShot support via mail, but I haven't heard from them yet. So I'll try here on the forum  :).

Exceprts of original message:

"I really like the new DuPont paints in KeyShot and the possibility to download colors from specific paint ranges from DuPont. The fidelity of these materials is very good. Sadly we don't use any DuPont paints on our products.

Attached, you will find an Excel sheet with specifications of paints that we use today. We buy all our paints from AkzoNobel. We would like to have these paints as high fidelity materials in KeyShot.

Is there a chance that (some of) these AkzoNobel paints will be added as paint libraries in future KeyShot releases or become available as a separate material download?
Or can Luxion 'formulate' specific paints on request?"

Getting a scientifically accurate representation of materials is an involved process that requires cooperation between the material supplier and us. We do this based on demand.

For starters, we are working with RAL Gmbh to get access to their color libraries and the rights to distribute them. I can't make any promises if and when this is going to happen, but assuming that we come to an agreement, you should be able to accurately represent some of these paints.
