so I want to print a Z-corp full color model, but all my models are pretty "plain".   I model all the geometry in Solidworks, and make them beautiful in Keyshot!   However, in order to create a full color model, I tried exporting from SW to an STL, then I used some UVMapper program to create a UV map, then painted that in photoshop, then opened the .obj file from Keyshot.... and it was ...   okay.  Kinda sloppy.

What programs do people use to create UV maps and paint the model?   I'm interested in this, but I'm completely clueless and ignorant about this subject, figured I should fix that.  :)

what kind of model is it? and what do you mean by ...kinda slopping once imported in KS?
pretty much any 3d package (maya, max, etx) has its own UV mapping tools. Aside from that that are stand alone UV mapping softwares like Headus UV layout, Unfold 3d etc.

I do all my modeling in Solidworks, so it's a .prt file.
