Rendering Realistic Diamonds?

Hello everyone,

I was trying to create a watch with diamonds, but the diamonds look so dull and like if they are made of glass. I used the diamond material, played with every setting including abbe number, and changed environments, but can't get them to look right. Any help on that please? It's very urgent!
P.S I didn't boolean the objects (I just added the diamonds on top and they intersected with the object), if they have to be subtracted from the original body, what material do you recommend under the diamonds to make them look shiny and refract light? (i.e steel ?)

Try editing the diamond material and check "internal culling".

When I did that it turned into black  :-\

Ah yes, because it is ignoring the geometry, and there is no light behind it. Realistically, how are these diamonds mounted?

Realisticly I'm not sure, but let's say there's steel behind them, will that help? Or maybe chrome?

The problem is that you want to make something look realistic that isn't realistic. You may want to grab the diamonds and offset them from the surface so they are no longer intersecting.
