I use a lot of backplates to render against and one feature in Keyshot 2 I like is the match backplate preference. But I think there is a small bug in this when you are rendering using Keyshot HD and using a backplate with a higher resolution than Keyshot HD renders (eg anything over 4.1MP).

What seems to happen is when you import a larger backplate is that Keyshot seems to render the scene at a lower resolution, but not retain the aspect ratio of the backplate. This may be linked to the bug Thomas mentioned in another thread relating to render sizes - not sure.

But the result of this is that you set everything up in realtime, but the offline render distorts the model so the render is displaced against the backplate. There is no solution to this, and you have to re-render as follows.

1. Resize your backplates to below 4.1MP.
2. Record your backplate pixel size
3. Make sure your render settings pixel dimensions match the backplate pixel dimensions.

Do this and it all works as expected.

Hopefully this can be sorted ASAP?
