Hi Guys and Gals
My son is very excited about this project he had to do at school. He is taking a Solid Works class. This was his first real modeling he has done.
He was so excited to be able to bring it home and show me. I loved it.
He sat down and told me what he wanted for materials and away we went working together on it. So much fun. So this is what he invisioned in his head.
I told him he has to do the next one himself. :D
This could be a great start of a team. He does the modeling and I do the rendering........maybe..... ;)
He wanted me to share this with you all. Been bugging me to put it up.
Enjoy

Fantastic - i love the 'anti-gravity' crowns worn by the king and queen. I'm so jealous your son gets taught a bit of 3d in school - Im still having to cram my (almost) 40 year old brain with CGI knowledge it just wont retain - too many apps to operate!

Lovely boy, lovely father, thank you for sharing your works.

Super modeling!  I also love the anti-gravity crown!  Actually, you should take out a design patent on this set design, because it's really a stunning concept and very manufacturable.  Rendering is OK also, I guess.  Just kidding, Tim!  Say, how old is your son, and in what grade?  If it's high school, gad, at that age I was hand setting lead type in print shop.  And no, I'm not kidding- I was a specialist at 6 point.  Can't even see that size now!

Good stuff! Tell him to keep it up, I'd like to see more.  :)

This is touching. Looks like the boy is a chip off the old block. Tell him that it looks awesome and to keep up the great work. Sounds like he might be ready for his own little EDU license. I just happen to know a guy.

Despot

Nice stuff, you should be proud of him... can I ask what age he is ?

Haha, lots of people asking what age your son is. Like me they're getting a bit nervous of the competition. Give it a year and we'll all be getting fleeced by this prodigal whippersnapper. Just please dont say he's like 10 or 12 years old. If so... I quit... Im talking up something only old folk can do - professional moaning or soup tasting or something.

But Tim dont worry, there comes a time in every fathers life when he is bested by his son in some way.  ;)

Despot

If he's 3 or something I'm hanging up my rendering boots now...  ;)

GREAT start! ;) I guess you two are going to be posting on these forums as a 'power combo' sometime soon?
SolidWorks in high school...yummy! I wish I had the opportunity back in those days. ::) I would have traded stupid Latin for SW classes in a heartbeat... :( ;D

This is fantastic - without a doubt!! Nice going....

Thanks guys for the support!
I was surprised when Ty came home and said he was taking a modeling class. I had a tear

feher

Well it looks like what I wrote back most of it is missing. Only part of what I wrote seemed to make it on the forums.

I hate writing...lol

I'll give you the Cliff notes version :
Ty is 16yrs old, so no one needs to hang it up yet..... ;D
As for the Solid Works class in High School. I was as surprised as you they had one. I was even more surprised when my boy took the class. He is more into writing code. So I don't know if this will go any farther then just this class.
I remember a time when I was teaching him the computer and now he helps me when I have issues with them.
At any case thanks again for the comments and support. He had a kick reading them.

I agree, can't wait to see more. Cool to see a father/son project here too!
