truck that is.

Nice renders Egon. I think the mans shadow needs to be darker and at a different angle. I would use the light post as reference on both aspects. If you change the mode to luminance in PS you can measure the dark values and compare them to other dark points or just do it by eye dropper in RBG. Same goes for white balance, but that's not so much of an issue...

Despot

To be honest, the second one is to all intents and purposes photo-real in my opinion...

Great as usual. I really like the warm feeling you create in most of your images.

I think that the first picture it would be even better if the DOF of the MAN would fit with the DOF on the backplate.

I think both pop out a little odd. Maybe too white with all the more yellow colors? Idono, I'm no artist.

Josh3D

photo-real no doubt! both look great.

@ Jeremy. Here's the backplate. Look at the tree shadow on the right. Does not follow the shadow on lamp post . I just split the difference. The lens flare deblackened the shadow. Also the backplate is sharp just got soft when blown up. I never did a truck on the road before. They are tuff. Thanks for the comments and tips!

I see. If your object was in the background use the tree. If its in the foreground use the lamp. If your object occludes the background object with shadows then you must use the shadow that is visible:D I rarely cut the difference, I just measure luminance values. It's easy to see if your shadows are correct if you are in grayscale. Nuke has some really good tools for this exact thing.

egon could u make me a render of the track on side view (truck going right way)? it's very detailed and i would like to use it for a project at work (advertisment composition).

Very nice - as always. Now - who knows MAN stands for?

zyon. The backplate is not mine. Using this for ad work would be very risky. So that what MAN means.

and having the image of the truck without the "trail" i dont know if it's the correct word would be awesome. :)
