Hello everyone,
I am trying to texture this cilinder... It has an edge blend. I do not know which types of maps to use for the edge blend itself in combination with the top map. Can I even use the same material for these parts? (atm I am using standard Red Oak material)
I would like to see a continuous texture and not these rough edges

Can anyone offer some insight or link to text / video?

Thanks in advance

To get the best result you may need to split the surfaces up in the modeling software, and texture them individually.

Now I have them split up: cilinder (curved side), the edge blend, the top

I dont know which texture map combinations (plane/cylindrical/box) to apply to get the best result.

Cylindrical for both cylinder and edge blend, planar or box for the top. You can probably map the cylinder first, and then copy and paste the material onto the edge blend.
