Scene Tree Menu Tabs

I don't know how useful this would be to others, but I'd like the Scene Tree (Properties, Position, Materials) menu retain the currently selected tab when I select a model on the screen.  Now it reverts back to Properties.  It does stay the same when you select parts from the Scene Tree.  But I often don't know the part name/number and it's easier to select parts on a large assembly from the model.  Always switching the menu tab to Materials get's old after you do it 50 or more times.

+1  - I'm totally there with you, I'd like it to remain on the tab I last selected.  Additionally, It'd be really nice to have the option to pull-off/undock the "Scene" tab from the "Project" window and have it become it's own window, and then instead of the three tabs for (Properties, Position, Materials) maybe they could cascade/scroll below the model tree and always remain open(?)
