I don't know at what point KS quits importing OBJ's because of Number of Triangles.
This Fractal OBJ made it. :)

It quits when you run out of memory. 31M is nice!

Call, and raise you five!  Seriously, I'm not sure where the limit is.  Probably way higher than my personal limit, as you run out of brain cells.

This 84 + million poly took about 20 minutes to load, but opens in about 20 seconds, on my overclocked BOXX 32 core 32 gig machine.  But the file size can be huge!  This bip, fully painted, is almost 4 GB.

Neat fractal!  Let's see some color!

KeyShot

Three years ago we showed KeyShot rendering a model with 2.5 billion polygons at Intel Developer Forum on an 40 core / 80 thread box with 256 GB of memory.

I didn't know numbers went as high as 2.5 billion  :-\
Apparently it would take about 77 years to count to 2.5 billion (at an average of 1 increment per second)
Bamboozeling!

That's why they came up with the word "gadzillions".  Simplifies things.  Ah, the good old days of 256k hard drives!

3 years ago!..... So one should be able to pickup one of those old 80 thread boxes, really cheap now ......right?  ::)
