Component visibility in animation

Is there a way that after the animation of a component, that component visibility can be turned off?

No.
But when Keyshot 5 comes, the answer will be yes

For the moment I render two different sequences, one with visible and one with an invisible element and then combine them in compositing ( AfterEffects in my case).

Other idea that could work is to animate element position and to move it far away in one frame  making it disappear ( friend just suggested that yesterday when we discussed about the problem ).
