Hi all;

Wanted to share my new series of vintage automobile prints with you- I'm preparing for an upcoming Concourse exhibit, and decided to start fresh in KeyShot 5 Pro.  All in SolidWorks.  HDR is a tweaked "Studio Simple Automotive", and the backplate is the great "Background 1", both from the KS Cloud.  My stuff is hard to light as there are few curves and shapes to capture catchlights and define form.  Most surfaces are simply flat, and tough to deal with.

The RAJO Speedway Racer is my favorite.  It was the model for the first mass-produced all steel "Pedal Car", which was every boy's dream in the late 1920's.  They usually carried headlights as they were the daily driver for many racers. The 1926 Dirt Track Racer features the famous "streamlined" Livingston Grill- doubt it added much to the 80 mph speed!

The prints are 24" x 16", on Moab Exhibition Luster 300 weight media, printed on my Epson 4880.  I learned the border trick from Tim Feher...

PS:  Augustus Leroy is my SteamPunk non de plume...
