Duplicate Material doesn't work

Here's how I duplicate a material. I go into the Material Libary, copy it, then paste it (in the same library), then edit it and rename it and give it a different color. It doesn't work. It shows correctly in the preview sphere in the library, but when I try and edit it, it has the same OLD settings. What am I doing wrong?

Not sure - seems to work fine here.
