We're happy to finally announce that 'KeyShot for ZBrush' is available. You can find all the information at the following links:

KeyShot for ZBrush Trial: https://www.keyshot.com/zbrush/
KeyShot Bridge Trial: https://pixologic.com/zbrush/trial/
Purchase KeyShot for ZBrush + Bridge on Pixologic: http://store.pixologic.com/Single-User-License/

Some background and details:

On July 23, 2013 we introduced ZBrush integration with the GoZ KeyShot plugin. It was such a hit with the artists, Pixologic decided to take it further, put their development team on it and make it the integrated render solution for ZBrush. On Aug. 8, 2013 they revealed ZBrush 4R7 and the KeyShot integration. Today, it's finally here. (Bit of excitement.) There are three components to this:

  • ZBrush 4R7
  • KeyShot for ZBrush
  • ZBrush to KeyShot Bridge

ZBRush 4R7 (list $795) and KeyShot for ZBrush + Bridge (list $349) are available through Pixologic. There's a limited time deal to get KeyShot for ZBrush + Bridge for $249. The Bridge is available by itself at $149 for those who already have KeyShot. 'KeyShot for ZBrush' is a special edition of KeyShot that works exclusively with ZBrush--same features as KeyShot, but has unlimited resolution and only imports ZBrush files.

Any questions, please ask.

KeyShot for ZBrush FAQ

Is KeyShot for ZBrush a single install only?
You can install it on two computers, but can only have one activation at a time. You can easily transfer the license between the 2 installations. Here are the steps:

Make sure both machines have internet access.

1. On your active system, go to Help, About... and write down your KeyShot serial code.
2. Go to Help, Deactivate License on this Computer. That will free up your license.
3. On the other system, you'll just need to run KeyShot, fill in the form and your serial code.

It will automatically activate. Should it fail, create a license request file and send to license@luxion.com for manual activation.

What resolution is allowed for Keyshot for Zbrush and what is allowed for Keyshot HD?
KeyShot for ZBrush has unlimited rendering resolution. KeyShot HD has 4.1 Megapixel (2560x1600) output resolution and 2.1 Megapixel (1920x1080) realtime resolution.

What features does KeyShot for ZBrush include?
KeyShot for ZBrush includes all KeyShot HD features. KeyShot for ZBrush is limited to ZBrush file import only and does not contain KeyShot Pro features (HDRI Editor, Render passes, Scene Sets, OBJ/STL export, etc.) except for unlimited render resolution.

How do I install KeyShot for ZBrush?
After you download the installer, run it to be guided through the installation process. Upon first launching KeyShot for ZBrush, it will prompt you for activation. Follow the on-screen instructions. If you need assistance installing or activating KeyShot for ZBrush, please contact support@luxion.com.

How do I install the KeyShot Bridge?
Your ZBrush to KeyShot Bridge plugin is automatically installed with ZBrush. To activate it, you must first install and activate ZBrush. The ZBrush to KeyShot Bridge will ask for activation when you first use it from within ZBrush. You will be asked to locate the license file that you downloaded in Step 2, above. Once this file is accepted, the plugin will automatically activate itself using your internet connection. If your computer is not connected to the internet, you will be provided with instructions for how to proceed. If you need assistance installing or activating, please submit a ticket at https://support.pixologic.com/.

How do I transfer my ZBrush mesh to KeyShot with the Bridge?
After the KeyShot Bridge has been activated, select the Render palette and set External Renderer to KeyShot by clicking on KeyShot. Now, when you select the Best Preview Renderer (BPR) or Shift+R, your SubTools will be sent over to KeyShot.
