hey keyshotters,

I have a problem regarding "light material" and I am using Keyshot pro 5.1, Solidworks and Windwos 7.

The problem:

If I put my model into keyshot and assign an area light to one of the objects (or to an added keyshot-geometry), it causes massive overexposure (even if the area light is set to 1watt).

The weird thing is, that if I open an empty scene, add a keyshot-geometry (in this case a plane), assign an area light to that plane and add my model to that scene after it, it works fine...

Is there a way to solve that (because it is pretty annoying... :) ?
thanks!

Try changing your global units: Edit > Set Scene Units > [some bigger unit]
When it asks you whether to convert or correlate, select "Correlate scene units".

This should decrease the overall brightness of the lights. For example, if you're using mm units, try changing the scene to inches, and your lights shouldn't get blown out.

Hope this helps!
