Is it possible to make a gradient when choosing Glass as a material?

I'm aiming to be able to produce a gradient like the following examples on glass:

Also I want to achieve from a solid color to transparent, is it possible?

Rex

KeyShot 5 provides a Color Gradient procedural texture type. Try using the "Glass" material in combination with the procedural Color Gradient color map. You can also create your own custom color gradients and use them as traditional color texture maps.

Very nice! How do you do that.
My attempts lack the gradient and have sharp colour transitions. Could you share a *.bip or a package?
Many thanks

Jeff - you need to adjust the scale in the color gradient editor. I think you need to increase it in order to get a smooth transition.

Rex

If you import using "Keep Original" size the color gradient scale should be optimized to fit your part. Try increasing the scale for a smoother transition, remember you can always type in a value larger than the slider allows. Also, the larger the difference in Location values the smoother the gradient.
